I was reading the Christian Voice today, a weekly publication by the Archdiocese of Karachi, only to see to my surprise ......this

“Young Catholic journalist Desiree N Francis has been chosen to represent Pakistan at the International Youth Leadership Conference in Prague, Czech Republic, in July 2010.
Despite her nomination as the country’s sole representative this year, Ms Francis is unlikely to attend the conference due to lack of sponsorship.
This publication enjoins multinational corporations and other such groups to step in and sponsor her trip to the Czech capital.
The leadership conference brings together hundreds of young individuals, diplomats, businessmen, politicians and experts from over 40 countries around the globe. Since the 20th International Youth Leadership Conference is the anniversary conference, it will have more participants.
The conference with the theme “a cross cultural exchange of ideas concerning the future of world leadership” is composed of simulation of the United Nations Security Council meetings, International criminal court mock pre-trials, Model Parliament proceedings etc
There are meetings scheduled with leading business experts, diplomats, businessmen and speakers from around the globe also.”
